ImagiNation®
has proven to be one of the most successful programs to supplement a
rigorous
educational curriculum for students in kindergarten through 12th
grade. With over 25 years of experience in providing creative problem solving
programming for Oregon children, Oregon OM
Associates, Inc. (Oregon DI) is delighted to continue offering this premier
international creative program for students.
For several months, students in
Destination
ImagiNation®
use what they have learned in the classroom to work
together in teams of up to seven members to solve one
of five central challenges. While emphasizing the fun,
these challenges focus on dramatic and artistic skills
or technical and mechanical skills in varying degrees.
Teams also practice improvisational Instant Challenges
which stimulate the team's ability to think quickly and
creatively. Through the program students learn
brainstorming and creative thinking skills, project and
time management, and presentation skills, while having a
great time. The final product is performed at a Regional
tournament held in early spring. Teams with the best solutions will
advance to the Affiliate Finals held at Oregon State University in Corvallis
in April.
